The committee for the Macmillan Ripon Carol Concert came to us in need of website that can be updated in a timely manner. As with most nonprofit organizations, the event and website has been run by volunteers, most of whom do not have the experience managing a website nor the time to keep it updated. The website had also not been updated for many years and was using an outmoded, manual system to manage the content.

For an organization that has raised nearly £500,000, they wanted their brand to look and feel spectacular, as well as mimic the brand of the parent organization, Macmillan Cancer Support.

We implemented the WordPress content management system, and designed a new website that matches MacMillan. It is optimized for a search. It is responsive. And has a fresh look for the good work the organization is doing. Today the organization can now manage the content as needed to adjust very specific details or any information they want to present to the public.

About Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan’s goal is simple… the organization strives to do whatever it takes to help anyone with cancer live life as fully as they can. Macmillan raises money to provide vital cancer services, research, and campaigns to achieve better cancer care, and support the cancer workforce.

About Macmillan Ripon Carol Concert

Started in 1997, the concert was the brainchild of Lady Zetland, a previous President of Macmillan, who wanted to replicate the well-known Macmillan Guards Chapel Carol Concert in London at a Northern venue. Over 20 years later the Ripon Carol Concert is now a much talked about annual event and for many marks the start of their Christmas festivities.

The concert is organized by a group of volunteers who meet throughout the year and is supported by several local businesses and organizations through advertising and sponsorship. All proceeds raised by our concerts go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support and are used to help fund projects in the area.
